Priyanka Chopra Follows Aishwarya Rai to Hollywood, Signs with CAA

Priyanka Chopra is set to follow fellow Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai's example by starting a career in Hollywood. Priyanka has signed with L.A.-based agency CAA (Creative Artists Agency) and is hoping to be the next Indian actor to make it big in the West.
The question is this: Is Piggy Chops going to Hollywood because she thinks it'll be a great career move, or is she going because her affair with Shahrukh Khan has made her a pariah in Mumbai?
Perhaps a bit of both. Priyanka has already signed a record deal in America (apparently there exist in this world people who want to listen to her sing), so acting overseas isn't that big of a stretch. And she's gotten as far as she's ever going to get in the Hindi film industry. She's very beautiful and a competent actress but she's no Vidya Balan: She can't act well enough to carry a film on her own and the number of men in the industry whose wives will let work with her is dwindling.
So it's off to Hollywood for Priyanka Chopra, who is surely hoping to emulate the success (if you can really call it that) of Aishwarya Rai. Aishwarya Rai is known in Hollywood primarily for films like Bride and Prejudice, Mistress of Spices, and The Last Legion, none of which are anything to be particularly proud of. American directors don't know how to use Aishwarya—they put her in films because she has a pretty face but she flounders under the weight of bad scripts.
Hopefully, Priyanka Chopra can make a better go of it than Aishwarya Rai, or she'll end up being just another pretty face who gets cast whenever a Hollywood director needs an actress who looks "ethnic."
