"This one is for u mom.. Huge Bruce Springsteen fan" was the message that accompanied Priyanka's picture with The Boss.
Priyanka has been in rush mode the last few days, going from Mumbai to Berlin to promote Don 2 at the Berlin International Film Festival (a trip that wasn't quite the success she was likely hoping for) and then immediately flying to LA for the Grammys. Her schedule was so jam-packed that she ended up missing the Grammy red carpet, but she made it in time for the show (of which she said the Whitney Houston tribute by Jennifer Hudson was the highlight).
Priyanka was invited to the event by her new agency, who thought it would be a good idea for PC to come to LA and rub a few elbows. Priyanka is currently recording a pop album in LA and signed with CAA to lauch an international acting career.
Say what you will about Priyanka Chopra (and you can say many bad things about her, especially regarding stories of a personal nature floating around about her and Shahrukh Khan), but the actress is clearly working hard to expand her career and find new creative outlets. And her excitement over her trip to the Grammys is incredibly sweet. While other stars often appear jaded at events where they aren't in the running for an award, Priyanka was just happy to be there, and she clearly enjoyed the experience.
And of course with an album in the works, she might have spent the night imagining what it would be like to be accepting a Grammy of her own!
